It's not everyday in India that you get to see little kids running about sporting safety masks.And when you do,you begin to wonder if you havent apparated to another galaxy(for the uninitiated,apparition is the art of reaching the place you wish to be in within nanoseconds)
This is the height, I thought, when I heard of a schoolgirl who refused to remove her mask to get her passport size photo taken!!
And then there was this wedding in pune where all the guests as well as the couple were instructed to wear the masks!!
The dreaded rumours were confirmed true when last month the WHO sounded a red alert and declared swine flu as a pandemic
Trust the newspapers and ever enthusiastic news reporters to take advantage and make a mountain out of a molehill.
What with MNC's conducting mass health checkups for the employees,schools closing down for a week(the lucky chaps)
,swine flu has definitely arrived in style.
Despite all this,if the virus decides to be your temporary guest,prepare yourself for a nice break from routine,pamper yourself and most importantly,relax,until your guest takes leave.
Until then, have a visit to the nearest pharmacy and get yourself one of those stylish masks.
